~How Time Passes~

Do you ever look back and wonder where the time went?  My life just seems to be so busy with nothing and everything, and I just dont seem to be actually aclomplishing anything either and yet things are still being done.  Maybe thats just winter.   We had a sneak peak at spring the other day with a beautiful sunny 23C and I just couldnt stay inside.  I managed to weed a  large section of the garden, hung the washing in the sun instead of under cover and went for a long walk with my daughter.   A most productive day indeed because the next day was back to winter.
And now for some pink thanx to Miss Beverly as always at ~How Sweet The Sound~
I am having some decorating dilemas with my sideboard....just cant get it to look right....so any and all suggestions are welcome no matter what.  If you can think of maybe what I should have eg books, teacups or offer links with ideas I would be most grateful.  Please help if you can.  Have a wonderful shabby weekend.

~Winners & Losers~

I have been noticing in recent months a few unhappy people blogging here and on fb about winning giveaways and then never hearing again from the people offering the giveaway nor receiving what they supposedly won.  This is sad both for the person who won but more so for the person who held the giveaway, cause bad news spreads quicker than good.
The huge majority of people who have giveaways do deliver and follow through, as these are a great way to boost followers and to increase shop sales.  People love to blog about their win and will praise the person who offered the prize in a very positive light which is just good business.
So my advice is this.....If you are offering a giveaway......make every effort to contact the winner...but most of all...follow through and send them their item they won....for they will reward you with their loyalty and friendship and sing your praises to everyone.

Have a fabulous weekend

~My Front Garden~

~Welcome to my tiny front garden~  Our home was built in 1860 and is what is called a Miners Cottage.  These were built mostly for the Welsh Miners that came out here to work.  My home sits fairly close to the road so I only have a small strip of garden out the front compared to nearly a 1/4 acre out the back.  But I love my small front yard the best.  So much easier to work with.  Up until now it has been just roses some as old as the house itself.  This year I have planted many little cottage plants including daisies, salvia, lavender, colombines, dianthas and the ever favourite geranium.  Its winter here so I dont expect to see much growth until the spring.
Hurry up spring.

A Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate and a big hug and thankyou to Miss Beverly @ How Sweet The Sound who makes every Saturday a little bit Pink.

The roses are looking a little worse for wear due to the strange winter we are having

~Have a fabulous weekend everyone~

~Pink, Pink & More Pink~

~Welcome to Pink Saturday~

Thanks go to the Stunning Miss Beverley for being the hostess with the mostess, so pop on over here and visit all the other lovely pink blogs in blogger land.

I paid a visit to the local nursery yesterday and finally picked up my lilac., which is just a stick at the moment.  I wish I could wave a magic wand and it would be already grown and giving me its wonderous blooms to enjoy.  I never was big on patience. While there I spotted this gorgeous Camelia called 'Buttons & Bows'.  How cute is the name.   The symetrical detail to the flowers is amazing but best of all its pink.  Lastly I spotted a pink statice, which is just perfect for using as a filler in flower displays

My last pinks for this week are the flowers I bought myself....pretty pink Gerberas and Pink Lilies.  Every week when I do the grocery shopping I always buy myself some flowers, pink ones of course, to brighten up our home.

~Have a glorious weekend everyone and thankyou so much for stopping by.  your company is always welcome~
PS...If you need me I will be in the garden :)

This sweet trio are reproduction perfume bottles bought for just $2.00 each at a local shop...gotta love a bargain.

This mirror was a wedding present to my mum and dad....55 years ago.
I love how my mum keeps everything and hands them down to me.

My Seahorse sits in the corner of the spa....The verdigris green is divine.

Hope you all have a wonderful & Shabby Pink weekend,
