~Much Sadness Today~

Today I had to put one of my dogs to sleep.  It is like losing a child.  He was fine this morning when we got up and then within a couple of hours he could barely walk.  After an examination and a series of xrays the vet informed us he had crushed a disc in his back and the fragments had entered his spinal cord.  They could try operating but the chances of recovery where very slim as he was over 7.  
I couldnt bare the thought of him suffering and so we made the decision to euthanize.   
It was the hardest decision ever.

    Oh Michelle..I am feeling your grief..

    I was never a doggie person until I got my MR SOOTY..
    he is now 12 yrs old..
    he was bought for my sons 10th birthday.

    he is MY GORGEOUS wonderful friend/buddy..

    my little toy poodle..
    & i dread the day when he has to leave this world..

    so I am sad for Cooper..but we dont want them to suffer..

    my loving thoughts are with you sweetheart..

    So sorry for Cooper and you, it is the hardest yet best descision to make.
    I still miss my little Bobby dog.
    At least he had 7yr of love.

    I am so very sorry for your loss. I have my late mother's little 10 yr old dachshund and 3 cats. I know it is hard to lose a beloved pet but we never won't them to suffer.

    I know how hard this was for you. We had to have a sweet pet put to sleep once. I'm sorry it was so sudden. I think that makes it even harder. Think of all the happy memories and love he gave you. Hugs, Janet
