~Reflections of Life~

           I have had a very slack year where this blog is concerned but a very busy one with RL.   I have stopped posting to my fb page Shabby Prim Delights, as I no longer have the time to spend searching Pinterest for pictures and while I am no longer active on it I have left it up for others to use the images for inspiration.

          Well, firstly the reason for no time anymore....is...drum roll..... I now finally have a job.  After 4 years of looking and applying and the hundreds of rejections and the hundreds of more 'no replies' I am now working as an aged carer for a wonderful company who care as much for their staff as they do their clients.  I get up looking forward to my work day where my jobs are varied as are my wonderful clients.  I can be doing anything from Walking/washing a beloved pet, to a few hours shopping, a quiet chat, and coffee, some light housework or a drive to the park.  The stories of the past are varied and delightful.  Growing old is not easy, nor is it one any of us looks forward to...me included, but I hope that myself and others like me help make it a little easier, and a little happier.

        My relationship with my birth family continues to grow and move forward.  With each visit, I learn a little more of them, and them me.  It's very comfortable each visit, with no awkwardness and its like I have known them a lifetime and not the few short years.  I visited the beginning of  December and will be returning in January for my sister Michelle's (M3) 50th Birthday.  On a sadder note, one of my other sisters has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has begun her battle with the dreaded disease.  She is way braver than I could ever hope to be and has always a positive thought.  I have no doubt she will win this battle purely on determination and sarcasm.  My only wish is that I could be by her side every step of the way, but as that is not possible I instead keep her in my thoughts and my heart.

            This will hve to do for now other than to wish you all a Happy and Wonderful  New Year from my family to yours.

~ New Blog Look~

I have changed my blog look...again!  I love change, and  love this simple clean look.  Less clutter more focus on the pictures and posts....now if I could just apply that rule to my house........

I done it again, although this time quite accidently.......I deleted by template without backing it up so I have lost all my gadgets...well everything...hopefully all back to normal soon ♥.

~Work in Progress~

Well I think I am happy wih the way my blog is looking...maybe a bit bright...we will have to see....so don't be suprised if it changes again soon ♥

~Pinterest~

Feeling a little pleased with myself this morning. I have been trying to add my pinterest badge to my blog for two days and it just hasn't worked. I have a very good understanding of HTML code but for the life of me I couldn't get it to work. Long story short the light bulb went on this morning and it worked. Now after all that effort I hope you will pop over and check out the 40,000 plus pictures I have pinned. Did I mention I am a little bit obsessive lol. Pinning has saved me a fortune on decorating....after all the thrill of the hunt is the acquiring and all I need to do is pin it and the want/need is suppressed. Pinning is a great way to waste a few hours or more or just lose track of time altogether. Anyway I hope you will check out my pinterest (just click that link) and dont forget my FB page also which is just about sharing all the gorgeous piccies I pin in a different media lol.

~Winners & Losers~

I have been noticing in recent months a few unhappy people blogging here and on fb about winning giveaways and then never hearing again from the people offering the giveaway nor receiving what they supposedly won.  This is sad both for the person who won but more so for the person who held the giveaway, cause bad news spreads quicker than good.  

The huge majority of people who have giveaways do deliver and follow through, as these are a great way to boost followers and to increase shop sales.  People love to blog about their win and will praise the person who offered the prize in a very positive light which is just good business.

So my advice is this.....If you are offering a giveaway......make every effort to contact the winner...but most of all...follow through and send them their item they won....for they will reward you with their loyalty and friendship and sing your praises to everyone.

~95 Followers~

I am feeling very humbled this morning.  I have 95 followers!  I started this blog back in March and never imagined that anyone would actually want to follow what I post.  I though of this as therapy, an online diary without all the nitty gritty so to speak.

Blogging is now a passion....I love reading what other people write, sharing a small insight to their lives, their beautiful photo's and wonderous ideas.

I think in the very near future I will be having a giveaway to say thankyou, so to my lovely followers...stay tuned...but most of all....

~Blog Hopping~

Home again after a lovely few days away in gorgeous Mildura.  Found a few treasures (piccys up later) which I cant wait to find a place for.  I am having a few decorator dilemas in that I seem to always arrange everything organised and balanced.  I know the look I want to create but everytime it always looks just too arranged...too symetrical...and I cant seem to get past this...any ideas would be appreciated.

As to the title of this blog...I have been wandering over many beautiful blogs to try and help me with some ideas as how to display my pretties, and got a little carried away in that I spent 3 hrs blog hopping and no closer to any ideas of how to arrange my collection lol but I have seen some amazing blogs and some beautiful homes...so definitly not a waste of time.

~Blog Junkie~

Ok I confess..although reasonably very new to this I have to admit I am becoming a blog Junkie lol.  I thought when I started this I would post maybe once or twice a week...but here I am posting everyday...but as yet no visitors so for now I am posting more for myself...and thats ok....I will think of it as my own personal online diary (without all the nitty gritty lol) although I do hope sooner or later someone discovers me *anyone*.
Anyway i was sitting here thinking what to do today...not sure if I am in the mood to paint when I was struck with an idea (yes I do have them occassionally).  Since turning my craft room into a bedroom for a friend of my sons who was kicked outta home (who has since built his own home) and then another gorgeous stray moved in after that (who has sinced moved on) I decided to turn this room into my home theatre room and therefore...no craft room :( ....sorry lost what I starting talking about....oh yeah I am in need of a new craft area....so I was thinking...my office..although small if I get rid of a few thing (lots actually) I might be able to fit in my sewing machine and a small cupboard for my craft things.  I will keep you posted and yes I will try to remember to take photo's
