~I find it really hard to cut up pretty fabrics......I tend to hoard them as well. I have a piece of Donna Dewberry fabric that I have been hoarding forever that I have never had the heart to use....maybe its time to sell it on so that someone else can either hoard ir or actually use it to make something~
~Happy Pink Saturday~
Beautiful painted Roses
~Thank you to Beverley from How Sweet The Sound for playing host each and every week~
I've seen this fabric before...am thinking I might have covered pillows with it several yrs ago.
ReplyDeleteIt was large enuf pieces that I covered the pillows and used a safety pin to hold it...I didn't want to cut, either.
Very pretty.
Happy Easter
Love that idea BJ
DeleteI sometimes have fabric that I can't cut either because I am waiting for the perfect project for it.
ReplyDeleteYou have made some pretty things so I am sure you will make something beautiful with it.
Thank you for your visit and kind words.
Have a wonderful Easter,
Carolyn
I hope I can eventually make something that suits it...if not it will go back in the drawer for a few more years. Thank you so much for stopping by.
DeleteI don't have much sewing talent but I would have a hard time cutting that fabric too! So pretty. HPS to you and I wish you a beautiful weekend and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much..

DeleteOh, I just love Donna Dewberry and her beautiful designs and painting. I remember watching her on TV for her painting classes. The fabric is gorgeous....you can't get rid of that!!
ReplyDeletelol....its gone back in the drawer for another 10 years
DeleteThat fabric is very pretty. What about using stitch witchery tape? Then you could use it and reclaim it. HPS Happy Easter
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of witchery tape...might have to google it. Thank you for stopping by :)
DeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my PS post. I love your Donna Dewberry fabric so much. I once bought some gorgeous fabric to make our daughter a going a way dress for her honeymoon and cut it wrong. I think of buying more of that fabric every time I want to sew something. I can understand your hesitation in cutting that pretty fabric.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and yours.
xo,
Jeanne
Its the hoarder in me...if its pretty i hoard it. One day hopefully I will find a use for it.
DeleteHello! Thanks for your visit and comment in my blog!
ReplyDeleteYour very welcome :)
DeleteWow, I totally agree that some fabric is almost impossible to cut up. The roses are particularly exquisite, though. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and your lovely comments
DeleteWould be lovely on a footstool but I wouldn't want to put my shoes. On it.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Thank you for stopping by Anne.....maybe not a footstool but a stool...thank you for the idea
DeleteThe fabric is just beautiful! I love the pastel colours and pink roses. Thank you for visiting me! Happy Pink Saturday! Karen
ReplyDeleteYour very welcome Karen.
DeleteI have the same hesitancy with unique paper. But then I remember I paid for it and it is an inanimate object who will not mind being cut up. Gail
ReplyDeleteMichelle estou encantada com suas artes. Adorei seu blog e já estou seguindo. Beijo
ReplyDeletei am looking for a vintage pieces of fabric to cut them and put them on the front of the stairs. I want a different color for every stair. They say it's easy with decoupage or Mod Podge you can get at any hardware store or craft store. Then every time you climb the stairs you see your beautiful fabric everyday!
