I need advice. My lovely trumpet flower vase I bought yesterday has created a bit of a dilema for me. After many hours of polishing I have discovered what I thought was a silver vase has turned out to be a plated vase with alot of the plating worn off. My dilema is this...do I leave it as is with its silver and brassy look or do I paint it (white of course). Please help cause I just cant deside :)
This is the vase after polishing.
For me personally, I would definitely paint it, and yes, white of course :) And how pretty would it look then with some beautiful pink roses or flowers placed inside!! YUMMY!! :)

Hi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog and your very sweet comment! Well, I am for not painting your pretty trumpet vase. Sometimes the worn and aged look just adds so much to the piece. I guess it is a matter or preference.
I look ofrward to visiting you soon!
Hugs,
Debi
I think leave the trumpet vase as is after you polished, it has a bit of character the way it

I think I would either paint it white or a very pale shell pink. But maybe the au natural look will grow on you. You can always wait to paint it tomorrow if you can't decide! ;-)
